Because I have seen the harm CPS does, and as my Pediatrician the father of 6, once told me, " Over 30+ years as a child doctor, I have seen the harm CPS does taking children from their families and placing them in harms way, but I have never seen any good done by CPS"

I was with Nancy a couple of weeks before she was murdered. There is no way her husband would kill them. What happened to the film she was making and if she was having money trouble then why waste money making a film.

Can Australia trust the care of children to institutions? Check out the findings of the recent Royal Commission into the sexual abuse/assault of children and institutional responses to those crimes. The Family Court system is an institution...

I worked in Family Court Services...my daughter, and now recent granddaughter, along with husband's children/grandchildren are all alienated from us due to this EXTREMELY corrupt Court System. We are good, loving, supportive parents. There is a high level of enmeshment with both our ex-spouses and extended family members. Unfortunately, I believe the likelihood that the parental alienating will be repeated in next generation if family and parent's rights are not protected. My ex says his wife's family paid off the judge. Protective Services made a visit to my home because my ex wanted custody so he filed/charged me as being an abusive mom. The social worker at my daughter's school says that because there were more than 2 scratches on her arm they had to investigate (charges later dropped) BTW; the scratches were from her father's cat. My husband ended up having to pay child support for his step daughter with little to no visitation. We are outstanding citizens/parents. The absurdity (can't make this up) of few situations I mentioned above and everything else we have gone through. We have lost much but our children are the Big Losers! Yes, this is a Ruthless Crime against my rights as a Mom/parent. However, when the attorneys request to keep the same judge, "...All in the Child's Best Interests". I believe it was to pad his pocketbook. My situation is different yet similar to what Ms. Schaefer speaks about and Sadly another Very Prevalent abuse of the Family Court System. As mentioned, "the bureaucracy is huge". Thank you for standing up for our children!!! Prayers...prayers...prayers

On Thursday, March 26, 2010 it was reported that Nancy (73) and her husband Bruce (74) were found dead in their bed, her having been shot in the back while asleep, and he having been shot in the chest, and that there was a gun lying near him.

I'm from bowling Green KY. It is a known fact the the state of KY is listed as the most corrupt state when dealing with our cps, and a few others. My grand kids were put in foster care may of 2018. They were taken due to missing to much school. They were bullied severely. So there mother let them stay at home. She tried to home school the kids but the Warren county School board refused it. They were aware of the bullying situation. The kids have Missed lots of school days being bounced around from different foster homes. My husband and I had to fight to clear our son and get him back out to Life. My husband and I have no records with the law. We told the social worker we wanted to take our grand kids home with us. She said no the mother had to agree. So they have been in cps care for over a year now and cps is trying to take my son and his ex-wife rights from them to adopt the children out. One of the foster parents that had our grand-kids in the past, showed me paperwork, she was getting 5,000, thousand, a month on our grand kids. The attorney in the court room said that our kids were damaged goods .quote....our children are there for money gain and tend to younger children in foster care, because it's all about the money. They tend to the other kids. Do the research. Call it what you may, but it's nothing more than a big fat pay check most people. Take all that money away and see how fast children are left with there biological family. We are going to continue to fight this corrupt system. We will never stop fighting for our grand kids.

Family services down in in South Florida does more harm than good....the system is corrupt and broken....the law of structure adheres to the principal that you can't redo a structure already in place...like family services or public schools...so there needs to be a different system designed...like Montessori did with the school system...

As a parent and grandparent, I am watching the federal and state governments abusing their power. Except in cases of extreme abuse, let families remain together and stop the disappearance of children from this horrific system which is more abusive than the original situation!!!

I want to help protect children. If you can't take a child out of their unsafe home and place them into a safer home, then what's the point. The child's LIFE can't go from bad to worse!! Why does our country lack common sense. Instead make visists to these homes and offer advice n programs to help them become better parents. They have no role models and need assistance, not ppl tearing thier families apart. If we help make homes safer, then there will be less children being removed.
